I'm finding lockdown somewhat liberating, and I don't seem to be the only member of the artistic community to be feeling this way. Tight schedules decimated, rehearsals wiped from the calendar and BANG - the pressure is no more. I feel like a small submarine that's just surfaced after laying at the bottom of the ocean for a decade and it's wonderful. Yes - the money is also gone. Flown away. RIP. That part is tricky, but it has been offset by the gift of time. Time I would never have had. Time I am using to experiment with sound. Time I am investing in myself as a producer and musician. Here's a recent piece of tinkering: I call it the Homespun Drum.
